CharacterPro is a professional-quality OPEN LOOK OCR package that combines
two recognition methods normally only found together in very high-cost
packages: an omnifont capable of recognizing a vast array of common
fonts and point sizes, and an advanced training algorithm to allow it
to learn and make use of novel fonts (including entirely new alphabets
such as Greek or Cyrillic). Its unique interactive document-learning
capability substantially reduces correction time, and recognition improves
with every session. Other features include automatic page segmentation,
column detection, table and underline removal, and output formats which are
compatible with both line-oriented and paragraph-oriented word processors.
